About this course

Are you looking to master your mobile phone photography skills and unlock your creative potential? This course is designed to teach you how to take amazing photos using your smartphone camera, enhance them with popular photography apps, and develop your creative vision.

Course Description

This course is designed to help you make the most of your smartphone's camera and its features.

Whether you're using an iPhone or an Android device, you'll learn how to achieve the best results.

You will learn how to unlock the full potential of your smartphone camera discovering the key principles of photography, such as composition, lighting and exposure, and also explore the use of photography apps for applying effects and image editing.

You will be inspired to unleash your creativity and experiment with new techniques and styles. You will learn how to think outside the box and develop your own unique style, whether it's through

exploring new subject matter, using creative angles and perspectives or adding artistic effects to your photos.

By the end of the course, you will have a strong foundation in photography and the skills to take your phone photography to the next level. You will be able to edit your photos on your phone, develop your own unique style, and create stunning images that will stand out on social media.

The course is suitable for all levels, from beginners to intermediate photographers

Course Materials

What students need to bring

  • A Smartphone
  • Your phone charger and lead
  • USB power pack (if you have one)
  • Phone to computer USB leads
  • Laptop (optional)
  • USB (large storage capacity) or portable hard drive storage device (plus connecting leads)
  • Be prepared to work outdoors so bring appropriate clothing, including waterproofs and suitable
  • waterproof footwear
  • Pen and paper.

Bring a note of your own Adobe ID login. If you don’t already have one, please register for a free account at www.adobe.com prior to the course, and remember to bring the details with you Please wear appropriate clothing/aprons for the workshop or studio, this includes stout covered footwear (no sandals or open toes).

Roy Matthews

Roy has been a commercial photographer since the mid 1980's having started his career as a studio assistant before becoming freelance in the early 1990's. He has worked in many different genres including studio, reportage, architectural, portraiture, editorial and sport. Always keen to pursue his personal work as a balance to the commercial world he has been widely published and has exhibited in many locations over the years.
