Types of accommodation

You can choose from three types of accommodation at West Dean:

Annexe room – single occupancy student rooms, simple in style with ensuite shower room. Annexe rooms are located in separate buildings sited around the campus, like Ivy Cottage, all annexes are 5-10 minute walk from the main house.

Standard room – a variety of different styles, both traditional and modern, with different views and aspects. They can be single, double or twin-bedded, most with an ensuite bathroom. Standard rooms are located in the main house or in the Vicarage, a short walk from the house.

Superior room – our most luxurious style of room, many with historical features and spectacular views across the South Downs. They are double or twin-bedded rooms, all with an ensuite bathroom. Rooms are located in the main house or in the Vicarage, a short walk from the house.

Due to the historic nature of our building, our bedrooms and bathrooms are unique, with a variety of features and amenities. We have two accessible bedrooms, and more that can be accessed via a few stairs. Bathrooms may have a walk-in shower or a bath with overhead shower. A few of our bathrooms have fantastic historic bathtubs! If you have any special requests or requirements, just let us know when you book.
