Roy Matthews
Roy has been a commercial photographer since the mid 1980's having started his career as a studio assistant before becoming freelance in the early 1990's. He has worked in many different genres including studio, reportage, architectural, portraiture, editorial and sport. Always keen to pursue his personal work as a balance to the commercial world he has been widely published and has exhibited in many locations over the years.
What inspires your own work?
Attention to detail and the desire to produce the highest quality results have been the driving force behind his images, led primarily by the quality of light and the mood rather than the subject itself he has explored a variety of different genres. Still with the same passion for the medium, he has in recent years, been leading photographic workshops across the country, passing on his knowledge of the medium.
