Whether you have any previous experience or not, this is a great workshop that allows for freedom of expression! It will increase your confidence in painting, encouraging you to let go of traditional visual references and subject matter, focusing on acrylic paint effects and techniques.
This course is an opportunity for you to:
You will be encouraged to use a sketchbook to record notes, sketches, colours and ideas during the course.
The tutor will provide exercises, demonstrations and inspiration for this course.
On this course the College will provide A3 cartridge paper, A3 acrylic paper, 3 wooden panels: 30cm x 30cm, acrylic paint in primary colours: crimson red, cadmium red, cadmium yellow, lemon yellow, ultramarine blue, Prussian blue, along with titanium white per student, plus acrylic mediums, texture gel and acrylic primer to share amongst the group.

Please wear appropriate clothing/aprons for the workshop or studio, this includes stout covered footwear (no sandals or open toes).
Arrival day
Residential students can arrive from 4pm, non-residential students to arrive by 6.45pm for registration
6.45pm: Welcome, followed by dinner (included)
8 - 9pm: First teaching session, attendance is essential
Daily timetable
Course teaching 9.15am - 5pm (lunch included)
Dinner: from 6.30pm (included for residential students)
Evening working: students may have access to workshops until 9pm, but only with permission from the tutor and provided any health and safety guidelines are observed
Departure day
Course teaching: 9.15am - 3pm (lunch included)
Residential students will need to check out of rooms by 10am
