Bring your designs to life with our three-day SketchUp for interior design course, which is ideal for beginners who are new to 3D modelling, as well as interior designers looking to enhance their skills. The course is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of 3D modelling using SketchUp. SketchUp is a powerful and a user-friendly software that works with many file formats, including AutoCAD, Revit, 3ds Max, Photoshop, as well as JPGs.
Guided by our experienced tutor, you will build confidence in navigating SketchUps user interface, using SketchUps navigation tools. You will use the essential 2D drawing tools to create 2D geometry and the 3D modelling tools to convert them into 3D models. You will also learn how to model from imported 2D JPGs and AutoCAD files with practical exercises and projects integrated into the course, providing you with hands-on and step by step exercises.
Over the duration of the course, you will learn both fundamental and advanced techniques of 3D modelling, editing 3D models, protecting geometry by using groups and components. You will apply and edit materials from the built-in materials library, as well as create bespoke materials. Explore, use and edit models from the 3D warehouse, which is a library of 3D models included free with SketchUp. Understand and use scenes and styles, which are essential tools for enhancing your 3D modelling experience in SketchUp and for creating animations. This course will allow you to gain a solid foundation in creating detailed 3D models and export visuals for client presentations.
Whether you are looking to start a career in 3D design or simply want to explore a new hobby, our SketchUp short course offers a comprehensive and engaging learning experience that will equip you with the tools and knowledge to bring your ideas to life.
