West Dean Gardens award-winning Chilli Fiesta returns with a creative flair for its 27th Year (11, 12, &13 August). The UK's biggest chilli festival attracts 25,000 visitors who come to enjoy the three-day programme full of food, live music and entertainment.

2017 West Dean Arts and Craft Festival brings together 200+ artists, makers, writers and performers for the UK's definitive arts and craft festival. Taking place at West Dean College, the former home and gardens of Edward James, poet, Surrealist and arts patron, the festival will deliver a wide range of dynamic workshops, drop-in creative sessions as well as exciting live demonstration, performances and installations.

West Dean College announces Artist-in-Residence programme, launching on 24th April 2017. Artists are invited to submit proposals outlining how they wish to spend their three-week residency at the uniquely immersive creative arts college in West Sussex. Three residencies are available, the first commencing in October 2017. The deadline for entries will be at midnight on Monday 3rd July, and residencies will be publicly announced on Monday 24th July.

Learn to draw and paint landscapes, or improve existing skills, using a variety of mediums to capture the outdoors.

The latest release of Short Courses includes talks and workshops by award-winning horticulturists such as Tom Brown, Head Gardener and broadcaster at Parham House; Rosy Hardy, plantswoman, nursery owner and winner of 21 RHS Gold Medals; and James Crebbin-Bailey, topiary specialist and Chelsea Gold Medal winner.
