Two Artist residencies have been announced at West Dean College of Arts and Conservation as part of the Whose Heritage research project, set up to explore the College’s African Collections. Sherie Sitauze and Sonia Barrett have been chosen following an open call which was run in collaboration with award-winning arts charity Outside In.

West Dean College of Arts and Conservation and West Dean Gardens near Chichester, West Sussex has announced that Stuart Whipps will be the first Garden Artist in Residence.

West Dean College of Arts and Conservation is pleased to announce the three successful applicants for their 2019/ 2020 Open Call Artist-in-Residency. They will be Robert Phillips in November to December 2019, Michelle Ussher in January to March 2020 and then Coco Crampton in April to June 2020.

West Dean College of Arts and Conservation is pleased to announce its Open Call for their 2019 residency programme. It will be launched on Thursday 25 April 2019, with the deadline being Monday 1 July 2019 and the public announcement being w/c 22 July 2019.

The West Dean Summer Show 2018 'Angel Cake' showcases original work by emerging artists studying for their Graduate Diploma or Postgraduate MFA qualifications. The free exhibitions, held at West Dean College of Arts and Conservation and then in London, display a diverse range of practices including sculpture, installation, print, painting, film, ceramics, and textiles.

West Dean College of Arts and Conservation announces Tamara Henderson as Artist-in-Residence in collaboration with Cass Sculpture Foundation. The project will support a new series of ceramic work by artist Tamara Henderson. Beginning with hypnosis, Henderson will uncover unconscious images that will inform the making of the work, a process aligned to artistic methodologies that are part of the legacy of West Dean.

Full time Visual Arts students, and alumni from West Dean College present an exhibition of works for sale to raise funds for a catalogue for the Summer Show 2018 at West Dean and at the Espacio Gallery in London, providing an exciting opportunity to acquire drawings, paintings, prints and ceramics from emerging and recently established artists at affordable prices.

Internationally acclaimed artists, ceramicists and academics come together for CERAMIC PLASTICITY - a one day Symposium at West Dean College of Arts and Conservation on Friday, 26 January 2018 (11am-6pm).
