West Dean are delighted to announce the award of two Honorary Fellowships for 2024. These awards are made each year to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the fields that are central to West Dean’s charitable purpose. This year’s Fellows, Eva Rothschild and Darryl Moore, are active supporters of West Dean and it’s Schools, and distinguished in their fields of expertise.
West Dean College London was today, Wednesday 24 April 2024, officially opened by BBC The Repair Shop’s ceramics expert Kirsten Ramsay, alongside a range of expert makers demonstrating their craft skills - from weavers and leather makers, to Passementerie artists and painters.
West Dean is delighted to announce that they have awarded four new Honorary Fellowships to coincide with the end of their academic year. This is the third time that West Dean has awarded Fellowships; the Fellows, Sue Timney, Salena Godden, Joanna Moorhead and Alexandria Dauley are active supporters of the College and its Schools and eminent in their sphere.
West Dean College of Arts and Conservation in Chichester, West Sussex has today announced plans to merge with KLC School of Design in London to reflect “an exciting new era for specialist creative education” according to its Chief Executive, Alexander Barron.
Professor Paul O’Prey CBE has been appointed Chair of the Board of Trustees for The Edward James Foundation which is responsible for West Dean College of Arts and Conservation. At the end of December 2019 Professor O’Prey will replace the Hon Peter Benson LVO MA FCA who is stepping down after seventeen years as a Trustee, ten of them as Chairman.

West Dean College, one of the country's leading arts and conservation educators, has announced its Ten-Year Vision for growth based on increased entry points and study pathways for students and a £25 million investment in campus development and outreach.
The Edward James Foundation has invested in a new state-of-the-art biomass (wood fuelled) boiler at the West Dean Estate.
