Wuon-Gean Ho

Wuon-Gean Ho is an award-winning artist printmaker who was born in Oxford and now lives in London. She studied the art of Japanese woodblock printing in Japan. She makes prints, books and animations, and her work is in the collection of the V&A and British Museum. To watch Wuon-Gean at work, please see.

Describe your approach to teaching
I have taught extensively over the past 15 years in the UK, China, Italy and USA. I help students gain a good understanding of technique, before fostering a playful curiosity about creativity. 

What inspires your own work?
My work is inspired by daily experiences, absurd situations and comical moments from living in the big city. I love making images with hidden secrets and jokes.
