Wendy Barratt

Wendy is an artist and art tutor with over 35 years of experience and a focus on portraiture.

Wendy studied graphic design in Manchester and has drawn and painted in her spare time throughout her design career.

She now practices as a full-time artist. She has exhibited as part of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and won Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2023.

My approach to teaching is on developing the skills of each individual student with a particular emphasis on drawing.

I am particularly inspired by the work of Ewan Uglow, Paula Rego, Rembrandt and Celia Paul.
