Sophie Manhire

Sophie is an experienced museum technician and mountmaker. She worked at the V&A for 10 years and, during this time, was the lead mountmaker on projects including ‘Frida Kahlo: Making Herself Up,’ ‘Epic Iran’ and the new Young V&A museum. 

She has worked with a wide variety of objects of different shapes, sizes and materials and made mounts for many different types of display.

She currently works as a freelance mountmaker as well as being a workshop technician at UCL Institute of Making.
