Sara Withers

Sara Withers has been teaching bead jewellery making and wirework at West Dean College for many years. The skills that are taught during the courses are easy to continue at home without the need for a lot of specialist tools and equipment Her own work concentrates on the use of beads, wire, resin and polymer clay. It is sold in shops and galleries throughout Britain, including the British Museum. Sara Withers is the author of many books of bead jewellery projects including 'The Encyclopedia of Wire Jewellery Techniques'. And was a speaker at the International Bead Conference in Istanbul.

Teaching approach:

I believe that students should learn new skills in an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere with a mixture of individual and group tasks. Students will leave each course with several pieces of completed jewellery.
