Rory Dusoir

Rory Dusoir decided to pursue a career in horticulture while studying for a classics degree at Balliol College, Oxford. After graduating, he worked at Great Dixter as assistant head gardener prior to undertaking the prestigious Kew Diploma. He has been head gardener at Howe Mill, on the bank of the River Kennet in Wiltshire and most recently Stud House, a private estate within the grounds of Hampton Court Palace. During these years, he was given some freedom to develop his own distinctive planting style. Rory has written on a wide range of horticultural topics for The Daily Telegraph, RHS Garden magazine and Gardens Illustrated, and has also contributed to two books: Plant User Handbook and Roses: A Celebration. His book on Piet Oudolf's landscape work for Hauser & Wirth Somerset will be published in September 2019.

In 2016, Rory set up the landscape company 'Kennedy Song Dusoir' with two fellow students of the Kew Diploma, Jeeun Song-Dusoir and Phil Kennedy. Based in London, they focus on creative design, installation and maintenance of landscapes and gardens.
