What is your approach to teaching?
The imparting of knowledge and transference of manual skills is an
integral part of my teaching ethos. I have a passion for the
rediscovery and preservation of ancient crafts and intangible
cultural heritage which informs and enriches my practice. I am
fortunate enough to have worked on many sites across the globe and
each one has broadened my understanding.
What inspires your own work?
The people I have met across the world coming from different
cultures and at times not even speaking the same language are still
able to share their passion with enthusiasm and know how through
the shared language of craft. The continued research into modern
and tradition materials which informs my work is an endless source
of motivation.
