Describe your approach to teaching
My teaching focuses on encouraging students to work at their own pace and to explore and develop their personal strengths and interests and, ultimately, to enjoy the craft that I am so passionate about.

What inspires your own work?
My work is predominantly material-led and draws influence from my love of nature and traditional sustainable crafts such as Bengali Kantha and Japanese Boro embroidery. Art deco architecture and early 20th century abstract artists such as Sophie Taeuber-Arp have also been influential.
