Lynne Stein
Lynne is a tutor with 25 years' experience of conducting
workshops and projects in schools, further and adult education, and
within museums and galleries.
She is a member of The Textile Society and the International
Feltmakers Association, and is author of Rag Rug Creations,
published by Bloomsbury.
My approach to teaching is to explore the creative potential of the
particular medium and materials with students, by providing
demonstrations, and initially encouraging much individual
experimental sampling.
My work is concerned with autobiographical themes and metaphors,
recycling, mark- making, and the colour, pattern and textural
possibilities within a craft which has a history of necessity
rather than decoration.
