Lynne Curran
Lynne Curran studied in Edinburgh where she first developed her distinctive figurative style. With echoes of Coptic and Medieval tapestries, she has remained faithful to her unique vision, appreciated by collectors and museums, including G.O.M.A, The V&A and The Uffizi.
Describe you approach to teaching
"I like to keep equipment and the process as simple as possible so
that the making is as enjoyable as possible. I teach by
demonstrating, showing examples and individual discussion."
What inspires your own work?
"My imagery is sifted through sketchbooks which are part-scrapbook
and part-diary, reflecting everyday subjects. These can include
dancing, watering the garden, or even a line of poetry or a
song."
