Leanne Fredrick
Leanne Fredrick is a California born London milliner, tutor and writer. She trained in London with couture milliner Edwina Ibbotson, theatrical hatter Jane Smith, industry experts and Morley College. Leanne teaches workshops privately through Hattin’ Around, annually at London Hat Week and internationally with B Unique Millinery. Leanne’s articles are published regularly in The Hat Magazine.
Describe your approach to teaching.
My approach to teaching is about creating an experience of camaraderie and skill building. My step by step class structure is flexible to accommodate individual student skills and preferences.
What inspires your own work?
I am inspired by the elegance of historical craftsmanship and nature. I often pull together skills and knowledge from different disciplines as nothing is more captivating than the challenge of figuring “it” out.
