Approach to teaching
I aim to guide and support my students as individuals, through carefully considered processes, based on my own observations, experimentation and studio practice. I aim to encourage them to notice detail, reflect on their own responses and gain confidence to take risks within their own practice.

What inspires your own work?
Life, landscape, light and shadow, ancient objects and weathered surfaces. Searching and finding expression and meaning through materiality, the unique tactile qualities of fibre in cloth, paper, yarn and thread resonate with my sensibilities.
