Catherine Kurtz

A writer and artist with a multidisciplinary creative practice, Catherine studied painting at the Chelsea School of Art and Creative Writing at West Dean. She is represented by The Redfern Gallery and DHH Literary Agency, and is a member of The Guild of Food Writers and the Society of Authors.

Describe your approach to teaching
My aim is to free all students of any fear of the blank page, and to see them happily dive into projects that creatively fulfil and surprise them.

What inspires your own work?
In my work I seek to notice, the scent of a perfect peach, or the agony of loss. Noticing helps me to understand, cherish, and connect with the world.
