Carol Blackburn
Carol teaches jewellery making and design using polymer clay.
She trained at the Royal College of Art and has written a very
popular book, 'How to Make Polymer Clay Beads'.
She started the London Polymer Clay Group and was a finalist in the
Craft & Design Selected Maker 2015 Awards.
Approach to teaching:
There are many colour and design possibilities with polymer clay. I
always ensure students finish the class with their own unique piece
and leave keen to learn more.
Inspiration:
My designs are usually abstract, inspired by modern architecture
and objects. I love to quickly try out ideas in polymer clay using
its fabulous range of colours and many techniques.
