Describe your approach to teaching:
My approach to teaching is to give students plenty of practical experience. I encourage people to work in pairs and in groups, as well as giving one-to-one help and advice, alongside encouraging opportunities for dynamic discussion. I refer to examples of my own work and that of other photographers to illustrate.
What inspires your own work?
My own work has been inspired by a huge range of photographers, from Jane Bown to Galen Rowell and from Sally Soames to Henri Cartier-Bresson.
