Approach to teaching:
My approach to teaching is hands on, learning through making,
developing techniques and gaining an understanding and appreciation
for the material and all of the wonderful possibilities that it
allows.
What inspires your own work?
I specialise in hand building, enjoying working with form and
texture and studying its relation to decoration. I am largely
inspired by 18th century French Porcelain. My collections aim to
bridge a gap between the past and the present, finding a new home
in contemporary culture for such objects, a 'modern decadence'.
