Aarti Popat

A lecturer and subject tutor on the BA (Hons) Interior Design Online course, Aarti draws on her extensive industry experience to guide aspiring designers in their career and business journey.

With 19 plus years of experience working in the industry, Aarti has worked for well-known design agencies internationally with projects spanning global brands and private clients, specialising in various interior sectors such as retail, experiential, hospitality, and residential design. She is dedicated to creating meaningful and intentional spaces and brand experiences through well-crafted storytelling, an eclectic layering of materials and sourcing vintage finds.

Aarti collaborates with both residential and commercial clients, leveraging her expertise in retail, F&B, and hospitality. Beyond running her own design studio designing interiors for private clients and brands, she mentors budding interior designers at the start of their careers.
