Pre-course preparation
A reading pack of PDFs will be sent to you prior to the course. For How-to reading, Francine Prose’s Reading Like a Writer is a great place to start, if you wish. You can submit 500 words from a work-in-progress to Laura for feedback during your individual tutorial.
Your usual writing equipment, notebook and pen, and/or laptop.
Arrival day: Friday 21 February
From 4.00-6.30pm - Arrival for residential students
6.45pm - Non-residential students please arrive by 6.45pm for welcome chat and dinner
7.00pm - Dinner
8.00pm–9.00pm - First teaching session – attendance is an essential part of the course.
Saturday 22 February
9.15am - Morning classes start

LAURA WILKINSON has published seven novels for adults (two under a pseudonym). Alongside writing, she tutors on the Creative Writing MA at West Dean, for the CWP in Brighton and works as an editor, mentor and book coach. She has a passion for fashion, ginger hair and anything that glitters.
