About this course

Create a one-of-a-kind book while you learn key bookbinding techniques, and create a multi-section stitched book with pockets and wraparound tie, which could become a sketchbook or journal.

Course Description

On this one-day workshop, you will be introduced to some techniques of creating one-of-a-kind books. You will make a unique multi-section binding. This idiosyncratic book can contain different paper: plain, lined, gridded, and pockets and envelopes for inclusions. Other pages can include simple pop-ups, fold-outs, varying page sizes and tipped in additional recycled paper.

The resulting book that you will take home is a resonant starting point for your own visual journal.
