About this course

Working from live plant material, you will be getting to grips with painting light on petals and leaves. Using the wet-in-wet technique, colour matching and perfecting techniques, you will aim to create a beautiful botanical composition.

Course Description

Working on hot pressed watercolour paper, you will be learning how to mix and match the colours and keep the light on petals and leaves. You will be working using the wet-in-wet method but, importantly, learning about resting the paper in between the washes, how to create light and shade, what colours work best for the subject and learning how to adjust and perfect your composition as you paint.

This three-day course is best for those that have had a little watercolour experience.
