About this course

Make your own rubber printing blocks and experiment with repetition and pattern to create your design.

Course Description

Design and cut your own small rubber printing blocks, taking inspiration from historical block printing, textiles, endpapers and 1950s’ wallpaper designs. Guided by the tutor, you will then experiment with repetition and pattern to create a suitable small-scale design for printing on paper and/or fabric. There will be the opportunity to print a small collection of cards if desired. At the end of the evening, you will take away your stamps and collection of printed cards and samples. You will have been introduced to simple printmaking techniques and be inspired to continue working from home. This course is an opportunity for you to relax and have fun with print. Join us for a joyful and unique evening class in London.
