Fine Artist and Lecturer
Šárka was involved in the eighth edition of the Woman's Art World event at The National Museum of Marrakech, Morocco.
As well as exhibiting her installation, What is the Red Thread? (2016), which combined materials such as steel, silk, paper, pencil and print, Šárka contributed to art classes for homeless children and helped tutor at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Visuels in Marrakech.
An additional project brief was also completed, with the resultant work shown at the museum and subsequently donated to raise money for homeless charities.
Images of Šárka's work have also been featured in a number of publications including the cover of The Best Modern and Contemporary Artists by Salvatore Russo and Francesco Saverio Russo, EA publishing House.
Šárka has taught and lectured in the UK and internationally, and is currently teaching here at West Dean College. Her approach to teaching is both playful and scientific, taking her inspiration and knowledge from many sources including Dr. Roger W. Sperry (neuropsychologist, neurologist and Nobel laureate) and an artist and educator B. Edwards, author of Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain.
