Diploma HE Applied Interior Design -
What were you doing before KLC and why did you decide to study at the school?
I graduated from St Andrews University having studied Art History and majoring in Furniture. I did an internship at Sotheby’s in the furniture department and then went onto work for Nicky Haslam. I always wanted to start my own business and felt having a qualification from KLC would fully round off my education.
Can you identify some of the highlights and challenges of your time at KLC?
KLC seriously prepares you for the competitive and fast-paced world of design. Seeing the work that you produce during the course is incredibly rewarding. You also make an amazing network of friends; it is an incredible bonding experience as you are all going through that intensive year together!

How has your career evolved since graduating?
Doing the product design module during the Diploma really opened my eyes to how much I enjoyed working on and designing individual products and this is what inspired me to create my own. I started with making my own candles and creating designs for cards and wrapping paper, which then progressed into designing fabrics.
What kind of projects have you been working on recently?
I launched the first fabric collections for my company, Abigail and Winston, in January. I am currently working on the new e-commerce site and new designs which will be available soon.
