Interior Designer
What was your background before KLC?
Previously having graduated with a Business Computing & IT degree, I went on to work in virtual reality for an immersive theatre start-up. It was an exciting experience that taught me a lot about the creative industry and increased my awareness of spatial design. After realising my interest in interior design, I later went on to work for an interior designer as a project assistant.
Why did you decide to study Interior Design?
I have always been interested in design and the more I travelled, the more my interest grew. I became more fascinated by the impact a space can have on our emotions and well-being, particularly the impact of nature and culture within interiors.
What did you think of the course?
Since starting this course, I have come a long way in broadening my knowledge of interior design both conceptually and practically. The course has changed the way I view things from a design perspective and has allowed me to learn new software skills such as CAD, as well as advancing my existing creative Adobe skills.
Where to from here?
I am looking to work as a junior designer for an interior design studio to gain further practical experience. I am particularly interested in design that considers well-being, nature and sustainability and am eager to broaden my knowledge in this area.
