Interior Designer
What was your background before KLC?
Prior to KLC, I studied at Fordham University in New York where I received a Bachelor's in Marketing and Finance. After graduation, I worked in Real Estate Development in NYC and held several different roles for 5 years.
Why did you decide to study Interior Design?
I had always been highly interested in interior design and architectrure, and working with Interior Designers in my previous career excited and inspired me to pursue the course.
What did you think of the course?
I really enjoyed the course. It was challenging & interesting and pushed me to be my most creative self. I learned so much this year and I’m excited to continue my education.
What are your design interests/strengths?
I’m interested in all of the elements of the design process. I think the research and concept phase is very interesting, I enjoy using that information to create a design. I appreciate working with AutoCAD, and using computer programs and 3D modeling to create my design. And then of course, sourcing and watching your design come together.
What space best represents you?
A well designed hotel, as I love to travel and find it very inspiring to learn about different cultures.
Which are your favourite interiors?
Some of my favourite interiors are by Soho House. Regardless of where they are in the world, they are all well-designed, inviting, and interesting. I enjoy spending time in all of them and rarely get sick of hanging out there.
Depending on the neighbourhood and history, they change their designs to some extent, but the brand is very strong and you generally know you’re visiting one of the houses. My favourite house that I’ve visited is Shoreditch House, here in London. I would like to eventually visit Soho House Istanbul and the latest Soho Farm House in Oxfordshire.
Who is your favourite designer?
So many to choose from! Since studying at KLC, I’ve come across several different designers that I am a fan of, however a few of my favourite Architects and Designers are Martin Brudnizki, Kit Kemp, Susie Atkinson, Jonathan Adler, Tom Dixon, Frank Llyod Wright, & Frank Gehry.
