£170The tutor, Benjamin Pope, will illustrate the importance of winter interest and structure in the garden, demonstrating how careful maintenance helps the development of your garden. This day includes a practical workshop in weaving a natural plant support.
The day will begin with a lecture looking specifically at winter structure, discussing how to create movement and interest when much of the garden is dormant.
Following a coffee break, the tutor will guide you through the importance of winter maintenance, in preparation for the growing season ahead, detailing various seasonal tasks before taking a walk around the gardens to further illustrate aspects of winter maintenance.
After lunch, the day will continue outside, with a demonstration and practical session where you will learn how to create interesting growing structures and weave plant supports.
