It's that time of year when many of us will be thinking about learning a new skill, trying something new or changing career. Winter has traditionally been a time for taking evening classes to wile away those long dark evenings. This time of year needn't be an obstacle to studying in the great outdoors.

Of course, taking a short course doesn't necessarily mean spending time indoors and the options for studying are as varied as your imagination. There are painting courses outdoors in the college's stunning South Downs landscape, blacksmithing in the forge, photography workshops out walking on the estate, throwing pots in the pottery or creating your very own art works in the sculpture courtyard.
