The West Dean Professional Knowledge Network is pleased to welcome Oliver Heath as the first talk in our series, The Sustainable Designer.

In this talk, Oliver Heath will share his knowledge, thoughts and experience based on many years of research and practice in the areas of wellbeing and biophilic design.

Oliver Heath is an Architectural and Interior Designer; his practice Oliver Heath Design are focussed on delivering health and wellbeing in the built environment for the benefit of people and planet. As strategists, design practitioners and advocates they are recognised global experts in Biophilic Design – enhancing human connections to nature in spaces to realise improvements in building outcomes and a reduction in negative costs. Design clients include the likes of Accor Hotels, Bloomberg, The BRE, Booking.com, the John Lewis Partnership, Schneider Electric and Interface Flooring.

Over the last 10 years Oliver has delivered over 400 seminars and workshops on wellbeing in the workplace to the architectural and design community across the world including teams at Apple, Meta, Ikea and Google. He is the author of 4 design books including “Design a Healthy Home” for Dorling Kindersley.

He is a passionate advocate of sustainable design and has acted as a spokesperson for the likes of the UK’s Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC), the Energy Saving Trust (EST) and the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP).
