Jo Beall in conversation with Mark Radcliffe about her new novel Meadowlands Dawn

FreeJo Beall graduated from the MA Creative Writing & Publishing at West Dean in 2023. After a career change to writing, Jo is now a successful and highly regarded academic, writing fiction. Her novel offers a thoughtful, skilled and often searing insight into the interface between the social and political world and the struggle of being human.
She will be in conversation with course leader Mark Radcliffe about her new novel, 'Meadowlands Dawn' which emerged from her own experiences as a political prisoner in Apartheid South Africa. They will also discuss what fiction offers as a way of trying to understand the world and ourselves and writing as an act of transformation.
